MOVE Recorder Speed?

In a future update, can the speed a sprite moves along the path drawn with the MOVE RECORDER
be controlled by a Variable?

This would be great to be able to control the Speed during a game.
Like making a roller coaster speed up and slow down, or racing cars around a track.
There would be lots of possibilities.
